Le frontiere del linguaggio tra tradizione e innovazione: le prospettive comunicative ed educative delle emoji

Abstract

L'articolo esplora l'evoluzione del linguaggio nell'era della transizione tecnologica, analizzando il passaggio dalla scrittura tradizionale ai linguaggi digitali e sintetici. Attraverso una panoramica storica, si evidenziano i cambiamenti delle modalità di comunicazione, sottolineando i benefici cognitivi e culturali della scrittura manuale e i limiti associati all'uso esclusivo di strumenti digitali. Un'attenzione particolare è rivolta alle emoji, considerate un linguaggio visivo innovativo, ma al centro di un complesso dibattito epistemologico volto a discuterne l’utilità e l’impatto sulle capacità espressive. Sebbene criticate per i rischi relativi all’eccessiva semplificazione delle modalità comunicative, l’apprezzamento per le emoji da parte della comunità scientifica è legato al loro capacità intrinseca di colmare le lacune emotive nei messaggi digitali e alla loro versatilità nei contesti interculturali ed educativi. In ambito pedagogico, si analizzano le potenzialità di tali strumenti, integrati nell’approccio costruttivista, per migliorare il coinvolgimento emotivo e la comunicazione inclusiva. Tuttavia, si sottolinea l'importanza di mantenere un equilibrio tra i diversi mezzi comunicativi, evitando un'eccessiva dipendenza dai linguaggi digitali a scapito di quelli tradizionali. L’articolo invita quindi a una riflessione critica sulle implicazioni future del linguaggio digitale, promuovendo un’integrazione consapevole e complementare dei nuovi strumenti nella comunicazione contemporanea.
