Abstract

This contribution is part of the strand that looks at writing as a means of learning and consists of two parts: the first one analyses the links between memory and learning - with a specific focus on autobiographical memory - and between writing and long-term memory enhancement; the second one proposes a format, developed in the context of the specialisation course for support activities at the University of Palermo, to help the support teacher use the life stories of the class group in the broader context of sensory educational planning. It is believed that writing - through the deployment of autobiographical narration - can facilitate and consolidate the information contained in long-term memory in view of greater accuracy with respect to the construction of inclusive educational programmes.
